DELTA CENTURY
Presented by the Stockton Bicycle Club
From the National Weather Service: "Showers, mainly after 8am. Steady temperature around 57. West southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible."
The 100 mile route will NOT be offered in order to concentrate our resources and limit rider exposure. If you plan to ride, please use clothing appropriate for rain and cold. Hypothermia can easily and quickly set in. Also, if we have a lot of persons abandon and decide to SAG in, we may not be able to accommodate everyone quickly. Presently, we are not offering refunds, as we already have a significant financial commitment. Thank you for your cooperation during this challenging weather, and stay safe.
The Stockton Bicycle Club invites you to the 43rd Delta Century, a Northern California classic - among the flattest and fastest 100 miles or 100 kilometers anywhere!
The date is Saturday May 4th, 2024, starting under the oaks at the lovely Jessie's Grove Winery, the oldest winery in San Joaquin County. Three routes are available, all completely flat and well supported with fully stocked rest stops, SAG vehicles, radio communications, detailed maps and route sheets, and a delicious post ride meal.
The Stockton Bicycle Club donates more than 80% of the net proceeds to a variety of worthy local and national charities.
The Delta Century includes three routes, a 100 mile, 66 mile, and a 26 mile route. There are no hills, and the only climbing is for bridges and levees. This makes for an ideal first century or organized ride. Traffic is very light, and there are no traffic signals.
The Quarter Century: 26 miles of vineyards with a fully stocked rest stop midway.
The Metric Century: A delightful 67 mile loop of vineyards, levee roads, rivers and sloughs, and a ride on the J-Mack Ferry!
The Full Century: 100 of the flattest miles around. The same loop as the Metric (including a ride on the J-Mack Ferry) with an added loop to the north.
The routes are available here at Ride with GPS. Check back just before the ride, and consult the route sheet and course markings on the day of the ride.
Pre-registration is now closed. We still have space available for same day registration. Prices are $85 for the century and metric century, and $60 for the 25 mile route. Cash or credit accepted.
Lodi has many hotels and motels within 5 miles of the start. See Visit Lodi's website for a complete listing of hotels available in the area. We recommend 3 clusters of hotels along Highway 12, one near Interstate 5 and the other near highway 99.
